Cute Little Guy!

I just think Gary is the cutest boy ever!! I never think of him as being a short dude until I'm wearing high heels or until he's standing next to his exceptionally tall friends. It just makes me smile to see pictures like this!

LIVID!!!

Back in August, I received a phone call from a lady who claimed she was with my Visa company or some such nonsense, and that I had won some sort of drawing and that I would get a 3 year subscription of any 4 magazines I wanted. So I said “okay, send the magazines…whatever.” Well, apparently they had my credit card number and were going to charge me for these magazines which I didn’t hear until the end of the call. Ew! After the call, I Googled the phone number. “SCAM!” “FRAUDULENT!” and “@$$ HATS!” were the results of my search. My next move was to call my bank, cancel my credit card and get a new one. I thought that would help, but unfortunately, the charge had already gone through for $80. I was able to have the money refunded back to me thank goodness for America First, and I put the International Magazine Company out of my head. Well, since then they have tried to contact me because they hadn’t been getting any payments for the magazines they never sent to me. Each time I talked to them, I explained that I would not pay them, that I knew they were fraudulent, and to leave me alone. AND THEN!!!!!!! Yesterday I got what I hope is the very last phone call. Some winner named Jeff called me, reprimanding me for not paying them, and that they were going to send me to collections for not paying. I yelled at him for a good 10 minutes for stealing my money, deceiving me and others, etc, etc. Then I said that I KNEW he couldn’t send me to collections because he only had my name. He didn’t have my SSN or birth date or anything else to go on. He insisted that he could send me to collections, that he was not stealing my money and that he was just trying to help me. Again, EW! I was so angry I was shaking and kept calling him a filthy liar which I don’t think hurt his feelings at all. I asked him what collection agency he was going to allegedly send me to, and he said “we don’t know yet.” So anyway, he got tired of my argument and said “okay, I’ll send you off to collections.” To which I said “Thank you for the magazines you never sent me.”

If anyone else wants to call these jerks and yell at them, feel free. 866-394-9149

Our Typical Saturday

Let's of course start the day off by sleeping in as late as humanly possible, followed by some sugary, unhealthy cereal for breakfast in our pajamas, topped off with Saturday Morning nonsense on the television. I was feeling particularly energetic today, which isn't so typical, so I talked Gary into going for an outdoor walk/jog. It seemed like a good idea at the time. We went to a park not far from us with some awesome trails and walkways. I started off jogging for about 20 feet when the rotten cold air caught hold of my lungs and held on for dear life. Before I knew it I had a wretched pain in my chest and I was hacking and coughing and wheezing for the next couple hours. Apparently running outdoors is quite different than an indoor treadmill. I'm a wimp. Moving on, Gary, bless his heart cleaned so much today. Dishes, vacuumed, cleaned the bedroom, etc, etc...all the while I was fixing my hair. (bad hair day). Saturday is our errand day, and today was a good day for errands. At the grocery store, we took a survey at the bakery that rewarded us with $10 off our grocery bill. SWEET! Then we went to Pizza Factory for the usual, and our waitress gave us $5 off and two free cookies that taste like a sinful heaven. I started up Season 3 of Prison Break yesterday, and finished the 8th episode tonight. 8 more to go! In just a few minutes I'm going to go to sleep, ending another Saturday with Gary. Today was a good one, and I'm glad I was with him all day!

Time Out!

Clavin isn't going to appreciate this when he's older, but how could I resist? He's too cute not to blog about!! One of his cutest moments is when he's put in Time Out. Whenever his parents sentence him to sitting against the wall after his misdeeds, he obeys so easily that I can't help but wonder if he enjoys it... Anyway, at the anuual Fifield Oscar party on Sunday night, Calvin was once again put in Time Out for a reason I don't recall. Neil, I think felt bad for him, and Gary not wanting to be left out, joined Calvin at the wall. I'm so glad I got this shot, it really makes me smile!

Wuv...Twue Wuv

I love waking up in the morning to a vase of tulips, a box of my favorite candy, and a pretty pink candle. Gary totally surprised me on this. Usually I'm snoopy enough that I can catch a surprise coming, but this one really got me!The fun doesn't stop there! He even sent me another bouquet of flowers at work that very same day!!What a freaking sweetheart! I kind of threw his Valentine's together last minute. I still thought it turned out cute...

What I did was put a gift in each bag that started with that letter on the front. I won't reveal what was in the bags, because some are a little too personal, and others are a little too...strange to be romantic and I choose not to be judged. Anyway, it was a lovely Valentine's that we spent together and I love Gary too much!!

Marci's Desert Island Movies

Hali tagged me to list the 10 movies I would have with me, were I stuck on a desert island. How the world could I ever choose just 10???

1. Life As a House
I LOVE Kevin Kline, he's by far one of my favorite actors and of course he's amazing in this movie

2. Blades of Glory
Pretty sure I have never laughed so hard in my entire life!

3. Count of Monte Cristo
It has everything! Romance, revenge, action, drama! What else could you ask for??

4. Hercules (Disney version)
"Remember how a few years ago, every other boy was named Jason and the girls were all named Britney?"

5. Into the Wild
It brings out my bohemian side.

6. Rent
"Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes!"

7. Charlie Bartlett
I don't remember much about this movie, but I remember I loved it.

8. Mean Girls
HAHAHAHAHA!!!

9. The Fugitive
Harrison Ford is my hero. I have idolized him since I first saw him crack a whip.

10. Elf
I think that if my husband had enough sugar in his system, he would act exactly like Buddy the Elf. And I'm also convinced that Will Ferrell and I are long lost best friends.

I realize this wasn't a test, but I still feel as though I have failed...weird. Anyway, whom ever would like to participate in this fun little tag...GO!!

Our New Baby!!

This is our new baby girl Pippy! Pip for short. She's a Fancy Dwarf Hampster and she is so blasted cute! She loves to take naps on us. Welcome to the family!

An Anniversary

January 12th marked the one year anniversary of when Gary and I first met. We had our first date, accompanied by Neil and Felicia, at Koyo, followed by some hot springs in Park City. Cops were involved and I got deathly ill from the extremes of hot and cold, but it was of course the best date ever. We wanted to recreate it with our friends once again, but the night didn't go quite as planned. Koyo was closed...something about being Japanese... so we went to the Olive Garden which was almost as good. And we got free desserts due to lack of hustle on the chef's part.

I love Gary! He's the best person I know and I love his guts!

It's Puzzling

Last Sunday Gary and I went to visit my family and my Granny Blanche for the evening. When we got to Grandma's she had been working on a 1000 peice puzzle of Winnie the Pooh that she got for Christmas. Gary and I love puzzles so we sat down for a few hours and went to work! My grandma was so happy because it was a VERY difficult puzzle and "her eyes aren't as good as ours." We only got about half way done before we had to drive home. Then last night, we drove up again for my brother's brithday and made a stop at Grandma's. She told us that she had only put in about 8 more peices the whole week, so again, Gary and I hunkered down to finish the puzzle.
My mom joined us as we neared the end.
Blanche was so dang excited when we finished it. We let her put in the last 2 peices...which took about 10 minutes.

And don't you be thinking that she isn't going to mod-podge this puzzle, custom frame it and give it to me and Gary to hang in our first child's bedroom. We love our grandma...silly as she is!As a side note, girls run in my family, so my grandma ADORES any man that is in her life, and Gary seems to be one of the best things to ever happen to her in a while. During the whole puzzle process, every time Gary would find where a peice went, my Grandma would praise him up and down, while my accomplishments went ignored. I finally had to demand that she notice my doings as well...which she did for a little bit until Gary found where another peice went!
