Back to Church

Gary and I have been so busy the past few weekends, on vacations and what not, that we haven't been able to go to church. So anyway, today was our first day going to church as a married couple, and went to our brand new ward, which is a family ward. It was loud! I am so used to singles wards that are dead quiet! Everyone was really nice, but there are definately some interesting characters. For example, there is a lady with sidburns. Not just a little peach fuzz on the side of her face, but full on INCHES of hair. It was difficult for me to look at so I didn't for more than 7 seconds. It's a fairly wealthy ward, and a guy with one of the nicest houses I have ever seen came in a bright blue and white thick striped suit with a bright pink tie. It was actually pretty awesome! I want to see Gary wearing the same thing. I think I'll like being in a family ward again.

So Happy Together!

We are married now! The wedding day went perfectly! I couldn't have asked for a better day. The weather was perfect and not too hot, the luncheon was yummy and I loved having all of my family and friends there. The reception was gorgeous and all of my favorite people came, and apparently the cheesecake was good. I didn't get to partake of any of it. The only downer about the night was my car. I expected people to decorate it, but what they did was not decoration. There was mulched up grass covering the entire car, and sawdust on the window. To top it off, my neices and nephews sprayed it with ketchup, mustard, sour cream, jam, eggs, chocolate sauce, marshmallow sauce...it wreaked. Ew. But after an hour of hosing it down, Gary and I went to the Grand America. And yes, it was grand. Unfortunately I didn't get to sit on the couches. However, it was completely luxurious! Next comes St. George. Best honeymoon ever! I have nother to compare it too, but again, there were no problems. We spent a day in Vegas and I collected sidewalk handouts...which I quickly discarded. That was my favorite day I think....sans the buffet at the Monte Carlo. Oh yeah, and we won $20 which funded the purchase of my new swim suit. Okay anyway...now we are married. We are happy, and I'm learning to feed him which makes him happier I think. Anyone have any good recipes by the way? Okay that's all.

Presents Up The....

Thus far, I have had two showers (bridal, not soapy). Count them. One, two. And with these two showers alone, I feel as though I have more than enough to get by with...but turns out I still have to deal with the presents from the wedding. Gary and I have been living away from our parents long enough that we already have a lot of things. Don't get me wrong, I love presents with all of my heart and soul, but there is junk EVERYWHERE around the apartment and I can't imagine brining more in. The hardest thing is, I have loved everything I have gotten and don't want to weed anything out. Sigh. At least the apartment is looking more like a home and that makes me happy.

The wedding is almost here! I'm not sure how I got through the past few months. Actually, I do! I think my sister Stacey helped out enormously! She's one of my favorite people, and she sat and listened to me every single day about everything that has been on my mind. She's awesome because she never gives me advice or her opinion too often, she just listens and supports whatever I'm dealing with. Love her! And my other sister Candace for pitching in and helping out with little things here and there that I never even thought about. Then of course my mom for planning the wedding, and re-planning the wedding, and then going back to the origional plan we started with. IT's stressful but I'm so excited I can't even deal with it!!
